about
I made this remix by editing my original track with a text editor. This is a common databending technique. I spliced into the track the text from "The Last Words of Hassan i Sabbah" and "Pay Color" by William Burroughs. Burroughs pioneered the use of cut-up technique, in which multiple narratives, often with no relation to each other, have their words and sentences cut up and reformed to create new narratives and new meanings. Many interpret this as an attempt by Burroughs to obliterate word. I think Bill would have liked databending.
